Growth groups

Growth Groups aren't meant to be classes.  They are groups of people coming together to grow in their faith together.  They are opportunities for people to discover how the Bible speaks into our everyday lives and do so with a group of others looking to discover the same things.  Each group is led by people who desire to help you not only learn, but apply the truth of the Bible to real life.  Below you'll find groups that are beginning on Sunday, October 20.

During this time, we also have Preschool, Children's, & Student Choir available for kids and students.  CLICK HERE to get more information about these opportunities!

If you've missed being a part of one of these groups, check back here soon for information about new groups that will be forming for our next cycle which will begin in January 2020.  We'd love to have you join us!

  • tHE Gospel OF Our King

Written by Bruce Riley Ashford & Heath A. Thomas

    SUNDAYS @ 4:30 PM

a 5-week BOOK study for ADULTS

    group leader: Dr. Earl Kellett

This accessible overview shows how the Bible--with its 66 books, dozens of authors, and multiple genres--comes together to provide an overarching story about God the King and explains how the Christian gospel and mission address the totality of human life.

Written by a biblical scholar and a theologian, The Gospel of Our King shows how any account of gospel and mission can only be understood in light of the whole biblical testimony. The authors help us understand the Bible's overarching narrative as the story that encompasses everything.

This story, revealed by God and centered on Jesus the King, enables us to know and love God and to fulfill his purpose for our lives. It is the framework within which we come to understand the Christian worldview, the Christian gospel, and the Christian mission. When we understand how the whole Bible fits together to shape the totality of a Christian's life, we will be prepared to show the goodness of Christ and the gospel to others in our personal, social, cultural, and global contexts.

    Session Dates: October 20, 27, and November 3, 10, 17

Books are needed and will be available for $12 each.

4 Keys to winning the Battle against Yourself

    Written By Levi Lusko

    Sundays @ 4:30 PM

    A 5-week Study for Adults

    Group Leader: Eric Whelchel

Whether you recognize it or not, you’re at war with yourself. There’s anxiety. Selfishness. Self-sabotaging tendencies. Narcissism. The black dog of depression. There is a war raging within you. But all is not lost. You can win . . . if you choose to engage.

In this five-session video Bible study, Levi Lusko shows how you can fight this battle by declaring war on your thoughts, your words, and your actions. Levi candidly shares about his struggles with moodiness, bullying, suicidal thoughts, and night terrors to show how you–with the help of the Holy Spirit–can achieve victory by . . .

    • filling your heart with truth and making it inhospitable to anxiety
    • overcoming bad behaviors to claim the victory God has for you
    • learning to think right so you can live right

It’s time to stop being your own worst enemy. It’s time to declare war and become the person, the spouse, the parent, and the leader whom God intended you to be.

    Session Dates: October 20, 27 & November 3, 10, 17
