What is Centrikid?

CentriKid is… an overnight camp for 3rd–5th graders to experience the time of their lives and learn more about the message of Jesus Christ! Camps are staffed by college and seminary students who can’t wait to hang out with your kids and love to share Christ through every aspect of camp! At CentriKid, we promise to free your hands of all the little distractions associated with kids ministry. For one week out of the year, hand us the clipboard. We’ll handle lunch, plan Bible Study, set up Recreation, organize leaders, and lead Worship sessions.

A child’s spiritual life can be greatly impacted by their home environment, church involvement, and unique experiences like camp. CentriKid is committed to providing a place for kids to get away—even for a little while—to hear loud and clear that God loves them and has a plan for their lives. Safety in our programming, within relationships, and on campus are top priorities. We believe powerful things can happen when kids feel safe to be a kid!

Camp is on, and we missed you last summer! We are so excited to celebrate that camp is happening this summer. This guide will help you prepare and answer questions for parents like you and to let you know what to expect when you come to camp. You’ll learn what precautions Lifeway is committed to taking, as well their expectations for participants. Prevention is their preferred strategy for COVID-19, rather than reacting to it. Working together is what will allow for a successful and transformational summer. The reality is that camp will look different, and that is okay. However, the things that are the most foundational to camp will still be there. Find that guide right here!

2021 Theme: discovery

We prepared for this theme and spiritual content — and when camps were canceled for 2020, we decided the best thing for summer 2021, is to continue with “The Discovery” because we believe this message is timely and true for kids in today’s world.

The key verse we hope every camper and adult will memorize is 1 John 2:6

The one who says he remains in him should walk just as he walked.

We need help. We need more than a how-to guide, we need an example. This summer at CentriKid Camps, campers will discover what it means to be imitators of Christ. Jesus is the ultimate example that we should follow as Christians and we will be taking a look at scriptures that help us know Jesus and walk as Jesus walked.
