Growth groups

Growth Groups aren't meant to be classes.  They are groups of people coming together to grow in their faith together.  They are opportunities for people to discover how the Bible speaks into our everyday lives and do so with a group of others looking to discover the same things.  Each group is led by people who desire to help you not only learn, but apply the truth of the Bible to real life.  Below you'll find groups that are beginning on August 19.

During our 6:00 PM Growth Group, we'll also be offering Growth Groups for KIDS!  While Mom & Dad are growing, kids 5th grade and younger will be learning together through fun games and recreation that help them experience and understand spiritual truths.

If you've missed being a part of one of these groups, check back here soon for information about new groups that will be forming for our second Fall cycle.  We'd love to have you join us!

  • raising Kingdom Kids

    Sundays @ 4:30 PM

a 6-week study for parents - written by Dr. Tony Evans

Group Leaders: Clay & Mistee Graham

From the bestselling author of Kingdom Man and Kingdom Woman, Raising Kingdom Kids equips parents to raise their children with a Kingdom perspective and also offers practical how-to advice on providing spiritual training as instructed in Scripture.

Dr. Tony Evans begins with an overarching look at the need for Kingdom parenting, our roles and responsibilities in raising God-following children, and how to prepare children to take on the assignments God has for their lives. He then takes a practical turn, with examples and illustrations to help parents understand and provide specific training for kids in the power of prayer, wisdom, loving God’s Word, getting through trials, controlling their tongues, developing patience, the surrender of service, and much more.

This study is for every dad or mom who wants to fulfill the parenting role God has given them―not just in raising healthy kids intellectually, physically, and socially, but in contributing to their child’s relationship with God and alignment under His plan.

a 6-week study for ladies - written by Kay Arthur

    group leader: Tammy Crowe

As imperfect people living in an imperfect world, we eventually confront in nearly every relationship the need to extend or receive forgiveness. But when the wounds run deep, forgiveness doesn’t come easy.

This eye-opening study deals with the difficult questions of forgiveness, including "How can I forgive when the pain is so great? Does forgiving mean I have to forget the past?" and "What if I choose not to forgive?" As you dig into what the Bible says on this vital topic, you’ll encounter the depths of God’s own mercy and discover how choosing forgiveness can free you from a painful past and propel you toward being all that God intends you to be.

  • half truths:

God helps those who help themselves & others things the Bible doesn't say

    SUNDAYS @ 4:30 PM

A 5-WEEK STUDY for adults - WRITTEN BY adam hamilton

    GROUP LEADER: Dr. Earl Kellett

They are simple phrases. They sound Christian—like something you might find in the Bible. We’ve all heard these words. Maybe we’ve said them. They capture some element of truth, yet they miss the point in important ways.   Join Adam Hamilton in searching for the whole truth by comparing common Christian clichés to the message and ministry of Jesus.

    The clichés include:

    Everything happens for a reason.

God helps those who help themselves.

God won’t give you more than you can handle.

God said it, I believe it, that settles it.

Love the sinner, hate the sin.
