Growth groups

Growth Groups aren't meant to be classes.  They are groups of people coming together to grow in their faith together.  They are opportunities for people to discover how the Bible speaks into our everyday lives and do so with a group of others looking to discover the same things.  Each group is led by people who desire to help you not only learn, but apply the truth of the Bible to real life.  Below you'll find groups that are beginning on Sunday, March 17.

During our 6:00 PM Growth Group, we'll also be offering Growth Groups for KIDS!  While Mom & Dad are growing, kids 5th grade and younger will be learning together through fun games and recreation that help them experience and understand spiritual truths.

If you've missed being a part of one of these groups, check back here soon for information about new groups that will be forming for our second Winter cycle.  We'd love to have you join us!

  • In the wild:

amazing encounters with jesus - ADULT VBS

    SUNDAYS @ 4:30 PM

a 5-week study for ADULTS - Lifeway adult VBS

    group leader: ASHTON HUDSON

Who says kids are the only one's who can experience VBS?

This summer, our LifeWay VBS will invite kids to grab their cameras and head out on a wild adventure—with elephants and egrets, polar bears and penguins, cockatoos and crocodiles. As kids gather snapshots of exotic animals, they will also examine snapshots of Jesus in the Bible. Kids will experience opportunities to respond to the gospel through every encounter, providing endless moments to go from bewildered to believing as they get "In the Wild" at this summer’s VBS.

In this 5-session study, our Children's Minister, Ashton, will walk adults through the 5 encounters with Jesus that will be this summer's VBS journey.  You will go beyond the surface of these stories to find truth that transcends age groups.  This is a great opportunity for anyone who serves during our summer VBS, parents, or for anyone!

  • When God Doesn't Fix It

    Lessons you never wanted to learn;

    Truths you can't life without

    sundays @ 4:30 PM

A 5-week study for adults - written by laura story

    Group Leader: sandra cooper

Laura Story's life took an unexpected turn when her husband, Martin, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The devastating news forever changed their lives and brought Laura's dreams of a fairy-tale life to an end. Yet her struggles to accept her new situation also brought her deeper joy and intimacy with God as she allowed him to rewrite her story.

In this five-session study, Laura examines the twists and turns that took place not only in her own life but also in the lives of many of the heroes of the faith. She reveals how God used crises in the lives of people such as Abraham, Sarah, David, and Paul to bring them closer to him and set them on the path he wanted them to take. She also shows how God used each of these individuals in spite of their flaws and brokenness.

God may not fix everything in our lives. In fact, our situation might not ever change or get better. But we can know that God will lead us to a place where we are better because of it.

  • The prodigal son

The story of God's grace for you

    SUNDAYS @ 6:00 PM

A 5-WEEK STUDY FOR ADULTS & youth - by John MacArthur

    GROUP LEADER: Pastor Eric Whelchel

Two thousand years ago, Jesus told a simple story about a father and his two sons. This tale stands out because it is a story about each of us and our struggle with sin. Whether we identify with the rebellion of the younger son or the self-righteousness of the older brother, we all are in need of our Father’s grace, mercy, and forgiveness.

In this 5-session video-based Bible study, pastor and bestselling author John MacArthur provides fascinating new insights into this parable as he takes you step-by-step through each part of the tale. You will explore not only the shocking actions of the younger son in his rebellion but also the cold-hearted attitude of the older brother toward his family. You will find a reflection of yourself in each of these two sons—and come to understand, in a fresh and new way, what God does to find you where you are and bring you back to Him.
