ABOUT STUDENT LIFE...
This year's event features...
Dr. Alex Himaya is the founding and senior pastor of theChurch.at, located in Tulsa, OK, which is one of the fastest growing churches in the United States.
Alex served as the youth pastor at Cross Church Springdale, AR. Alex built his youth ministries on the belief that teenagers can be full-fledged disciples of Jesus Christ. He now turns his attention to developing a healthy church body of all ages and turning that body into disciples for reaching Tulsa, our country and the world. God has blessed Alex with the talent to reach the high tech culture of Generation Next. Involved in revivals, citywide rallies, camps and school assemblies, Alex speaks almost 200 times each year. The hearts cry of theChurch.at is to effectively present the same relevant message, the Gospel of Christ, using fresh, innovative methods, resources and technology. Alex and his wife, Meredith, have four children. Katherine, Eli, Benjamin and Lemley. Alex received his bachelors degree from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas, and his masters degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. He finished his Doctorate in Church Growth and Evangelism in May of 2002.
Stephen Miller is a pastor and artist who strives to enlarge peoples view of God with the truth of Scripture and artfully give a vocabulary to express thankfulness and praise to Him. He serves as Associate Pastor of Worship at Prestonwood Baptist Church-North Campus.
Believing that songs alone are insufficient to express our love for God and are, in fact, our smallest expression of worship, Stephen is adamant that worship is a lifestyle expressed through mercy, justice and compassion. He is a passionate advocate for orphans and serves as a Compassion International artist, helping to rescue children out of poverty in Jesus' name.
