Collide 2019

Rome/Floyd D-Now Weekend

March 1 - 3

“DNOW” is short for “Disciple Now”. “Disciple Now” is an event that has been a staple of student ministry all over the country for many years. It focuses on a few key elements. Discipleship is obviously the focus. It’s like an out-of-town retreat, except it stays local. Rather than hotels, students stay together in “host homes” with a college student/young adult as their group leader. They take part in small group Bible studies together throughout the weekend. In addition to the host home experience, a typical DNOW also includes worship services and a keynote speaker. For the past 9 years, the youth ministers of Rome & Floyd Co. have collaborated to create a collective DNOW event that unites all our groups, yet creates individual community within individual churches. It’s come to be known as “COLLIDE.”

This year’s COLLIDE will come together at West Rome Baptist Church. There, our students will be a part of approx. 500+ students from all over Rome coming together. This year, we have partnered with Student Leadership University to bring THE LIFT TOUR to Rome to create a DNOW experience unlike any we’ve had before!

The cost per student is $55.  Scroll to the bottom of this page to complete your online registration.  Your registration isn't complete until your payment has been made.  You can pay online by going to our GIVE page and using our eGive service.  You may also pay in person at our Church Office Monday-Thrusday, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM.

When Marquise isn't on the road speaking he's doing life with his bride Krystal, hanging with high school students, or binge-watching Netflix shows.

  • FEDEL

    HIP HOP & RAP ARTIST

“FEDEL” is based on the word “fidelity”, meaning “truth” and “faithfulness”. Growing up in North Memphis FEDEL faced urban social pressures, depression, gang violence, an abusive home and much more. With God’s grace he went from a hothead in the streets, to a rap and spoken word artist bringing the creative message of Christ through music and influence. Now, located in Oklahoma, FEDEL’s music is based on his “I WILL BE” campaign - encouraging people to hold on to God’s grace and faith amidst pain and struggle. He released his fourth full-length album FLAW (fight like a winner) in May 2015, featuring Reach Records artist KB, Social Club, Derek Minor and Tim Halperin of American Idol. Since 2008, FEDEL has passionately worked to use music to reach the next generation and has performed with some of the most influential events, including: Bubba’s Bash, Judah Smith’s ‘Jesus Is’ and ‘Life Is’ tours, Young Christians’ Weekend and an Anomaly Tour date with Lecrae and Andy Mineo.

  • LIBERTY WORSHIP COLLECTIVE

    WORSHIP LEADERS

The Liberty Worship Collective comes from the world’s largest Christian University and consists of 45 hand-selected worship leaders, songwriters, and musicians. These students work hard year round to celebrate the name of Jesus and proclaim the freedom found in Him on campus and around the globe.

This team leads for the world’s largest gathering of young people three times a week: Liberty University’s Convocation. In addition to Convocation, they lead at other various events on campus and hit the road on the weekends to serve the local church, conferences, festivals, and even put on their own “Night of Worship” events.
